Q: How do I post the stuff I have for sale?

You don't. You search the listings or Create Alerts which tell you when what you have is wanted. You can advertise your car with WhatCar classified advertising.

Q: How much will it cost me?

Nothing.

Q: How long before I get a response to a post?

Response times may be slow at the start but they will build up very quickly as more join. The more Wants posted, the more Sellers join, the faster the response, so spread the word.

Q: What's the form on contacting Posters?

See the link to ‘Some Rules’ on the Home Page.
Contact them for what they want or very close to it. If they want a nearly new Ford Mondeo, don't sell them Car Insurance, but if they want a new model, a similar nearly new demo car might be of interest. Use common sense.

Q: How do I exchange photographs if relevant?

These can be sent via the Mailbox or by regular e mail if disclosed.

Q: How can I be sure that the person I am dealing with is being honest?

You can't, in the same way as you can't in any other service. Take the usual precautions about safe trading and report anything dodgy to us. If you need advice, get in touch and we’ll help. See the other pages on this site for advice and guidance.

Q: How do I report abuse?

Click the "report " button on any posting and we will look into it.
For other abuse, tell us and we'll sort that out too.

Q: Do you sell my personal data?

No. You control your data. We don’t do anything with it.

Q: I am being bombarded by emails and SMS messages.

Review the Want or Alert by editing it in My Findsyou. Limit the responses you get per week, or be more specific in the posting. If the e mails are spam, tell us and we’ll find out who sent it and stop it.
